The all new Maruti Baleno spotted testing in India which has the Smart Hybrid badge on the tailgate which suggests that the company has been planning to the introduction of SHVS. Till date, only Ciaz and Ertiga have got the SHVS mid-hybrid technology, but now Maruti Baleno Hybrid have come up with this technology. Maruti would discontinue the diesel engine before the introduction of the BSVI norms in April next year.
Maruti Baleno Hybrid Engine specifications
The media says that the car will come up with the 1.2 liters petrol engine because the car they spotted during testing did not spot the feature DDIS badge on the front fender. However, the functionality is all other models of Maruti to date. In the upcoming generation car model, the company is planning to set up the dual battery with the lithium-ion battery.
However, with the introduction of the hybrid system in the new model, the company will be featuring 1.2 liters petrol variants that will be more frugal than current versions. Regarding the power specifications, the new model will be producing the power the same as that of Ciaz. Also, as per expectations, the new Baleno will be eco-friendly. The company is planning with the boost up of engine efficiency. The claimed mileage of the car is 21.4 KMPL.

With the different variants launch in the new model, Boleno will be coming with more than one lakhs than the previous version. However, then also the petrol version will be affordable than the diesel variants especially when BSVI norms will come into effect. Also, the new hybrid model will be more powerful than its older version.

As per media reports, the diesel variants of the model along with the premium hatchback will discontinue in the new model. It is because to update the diesel engine will not be feasible economically and the diesel engine does not even meet BSVI norms. Well, there are no specifications revealed about the exterior of the model. The new model petrol engine will be producing the power of 84 PS with a torque of 115 Nm. Well, further features of the car are yet to reveal.
Well, the new model is ready to make the debut at the end of the year as the company has confirmed the arrival of the BSVI engine by the end of November 2019. The price as per expectations is Rs. 5.46 lakh to 8.78 lakh.
The new car will be coming up with Advanced Braking System with EBD, dual front airbags, and the adjustable steering. Also, the media says about the LED projector headlamps with the light guide. Also, the model will show up the quick warning, rear parking sensors. In its high variants, the model will be featuring up with the rear camera and the front fog lamps. Well, regarding the transmission the company has not yet revealed anything. The interior design of the car is expected to remain the same as its older version.
